Abstract

This work examines employees’ remuneration challenges and service delivery in Nigeria with a view to discussing the impacts on the output of employees in Ekiti State.  Every policy of an employer is expected to display a high sense of indices of good administration such as transparency, accountability, responsiveness, efficiency, and effectiveness resulting in good service delivery. It will have effects on the production of employees. However, the production and output of the employees have most often been hindered by some factors among others viz:  corruption, inefficiency, ineffectiveness, red-tapism, and so on.  As a corollary, the much-expected goal of the organization is adversely affected.  The work relies on both primary and secondary sources of information. The data sources are complemented by oral interviews with relevant stakeholders and members of selected organizations in Ekiti State to elicit more information about the research work. Data were also sourced from the internet, governmental organizations and other related agencies with the objective of assessment and comparison. The study therefore concludes that for the attainment of Nation building, societal development, corruption free organizations, with putting the round peg in round hole, emphasis should be placed on how the employees can be motivated to boost output.
